Description:

The UK ETA app allows individuals to submit an application for an electronic travel authorization (ETA) to visit the United Kingdom.

Who can use the app:
<ul>
<li>Determine eligibility criteria at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/electronic-travel-authorisation">https://www.gov.uk/electronic-travel-authorisation</a>. Application on behalf of another individual is permissible if they are present.</li>
<li>If applying on behalf of someone who is not present, the application must be completed online at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/electronic-travel-authorisation">https://www.gov.uk/electronic-travel-authorisation</a>.</li>
</ul>

How it works:
<ol>
<li>Photograph your passport.</li>
<li>If your passport contains a chip and your phone supports contactless payments, access the chip using your phone.</li>
<li>Capture a facial scan using your phone's camera.</li>
<li>Take a photo of the applicant.</li>
<li>Provide personal information as required.</li>
<li>Submit the application fee.</li>
</ol>

Before you begin:
<ul>
<li>Ensure you are in a well-lit environment for high-quality photo capture.</li>
<li>Essential items include your travel passport (not a copy), a credit card, debit card, or Apple Pay, and access to your email account.</li>
<li>Photographs needed include those of the passport and the applicant's face.</li>
</ul>

What to expect:
<ul>
<li>A decision is typically received within 3 business days, with potential for expedited processing. In some cases, processing times may exceed 3 days. The issued ETA will be linked to the applied passport, which must be used for travel to the UK.</li>
</ul>

Device Requirements:
<ul>
<li>An iPhone 7 or newer model with iOS 15 or above is necessary for application submission.</li>
</ul>
